About: Spotted on a wall at Portmellon were two faces with very different outlooks on life. The sad face certainly looks like he has the worries of the world on his shoulders and the happy face brings on a smile.

Green Weed on the Beach

About: Portmellon has a sheltered sand and shingle beach which is exposed at low tide but it can be rather sea-weedy. Despite this the swimming conditions are generally good and on the day we visited the beach was practically deserted.

Beware of Waves

About: This sign warning cars to "Beware of Waves" at Portmellon looks pretty ominous. On the day we visited the tide was out and flat calm but the conditions must be quite different at times to warrant such a sign.
